Stevie Wonder divorce under process after 11 year!!!

A divorce after 11 years of marriage has been filed by Stevie Wonder. It happened due to irreconcilable differences from fashion designer Kai Millard Morris whom he wed in September 2001.

Since 2009 the couple have been living separately.

Wonder, whose real name is Stevland Morris, was born blind and signed the divorce papers using two fingerprints.
He has requested joint custody of their two sons, 10-year-old Kailand and Mandla, seven.

In his divorce papers, he agreed to pay financial support for his estranged wife and their children

Extortion Charges Deny by The Pair!!

Alpha L. Walker, 38, and Walker's girlfriend, Tamara Diaz, stepped in and pleas of not ashamed on during their first court present in Los Angeles.

Walker is accused of trying to extort the Grammy-winning musician over information they claimed would embarrass him.

The suspects allegedly tried to obtain $5m (£3.1m) from the Superstition singer and said they could go to the media with a story of incest, it was reported.

They were arrested in May after receiving a lowered sum of $10,000 (£6,377) from Wonder's lawyer in a police sting where undercover police officers posed as representatives of the musician.

Walker was on probation at the time of his arrest after pleading no contest to grand theft in May 2011.

Walker's lawyer said his client simply made a movie about his own life and his actions are protected by freedom of speech laws in the US.

The pair will return to court for a pre-trial hearing.

Stevie Wonder canceled concert!!!

It has been confirmed by the local promoter to Hawaii News Now late Friday afternoon, Promoter who confirmed the now-canceled Stevie Wonder concert to said that the University of Hawaii's deposit money has been located, a claim that could not be independently verified.

"I'm confident that the deposit money is in the right place," Peyton said in an email to Hawaii News Now.

He claimed that the money is not in escrow mode and also told that Wonder managers are now demanding full up-front for the concert.

Peyton said that the amount they are demanding now is more than he original amount, which was $730,000 for a fund raising show at UH and a second concert on Maui, plus travel costs.

"I have been told that I must guarantee the full amount within two business days they will play the show," Peyton said in an email. "Of course, this whole thing must be totally transparent to the state's satisfaction."

"The UH will be informed when I get an updated agreement," Peyton added.

"We are unable to comment during the active FBI and third-party investigations," said UH Manoa Chancellor Tom Apple in a written statement in response to an inquiry from Hawaii News Now.

Other UH officials did not return phone calls and emails Friday afternoon or said they could not verify Peyton's claims.

Stevie Wonder perform to celebrate Sting's 60th birthday

The charity celebration held at New York City's Beacon Theater, benefited the Robin Hood Foundation--an anti-poverty organization.

Harry E. Johnson, Sr., president and CEO of the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial Project Foundation said Wonder's contribution to the event is invaluable:

"We deeply appreciate the support of Stevie . . . who believe[s] in and portray[s] Dr. King's universal messages of democracy, hope, justice, and love."

The dedication ceremony will also feature likes by President Barack Obama, Aretha Franklin, Jennifer Hudson and Jamie Foxx.

Stevie Wonder will receive the Spirit of Hope Award

Stevie Wonder will working to receive the Spirit of Hope Award from the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation on October 29.

Stevie Wonder To Appear At Armenian Genocide Victim Show


A series of shows to support the victims of the Armenian Genocide has been confirmed by Stevie Wonder, The news comes via the Russia-based Yerkramas newspaper.

These concerts, titled "Never Again," will finish in 2015, which will be the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

Genocides in Rwanda, Cambodia and Sudan will be emphasize by all the artists and participants.

"Something that may not be done through the power of politics can be done through the power of music," said Anush Hovsepyan.

On April 17, 2011 first set of the show to honor these victims will be held at Hollywood's Universal City Gibson Amphitheatre. Stevie Wonder will be performing alongside Canadian musician David Foster and famous Armenian singer Flora Martirosyan.

Obama to honor Stevie Wonder

Stevie Wonder, whose song "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm yours" became a theme for President Barack Obama's campaign, will be honored by the White House with a gig this month.

The White House says the president and First Lady Michelle Obama will present Wonder with a Library of Congress award on Feb. 25.

The gig will be put on air the next day on PBS. Wonder grew up in Detroit and signed with Motown when he was 13.

He presented at the 2008 Democratic National Convention on the night Obama received his party's nomination. He also presented at a gig during the week of Obama's investiture.

Wonder who had received the most number of Grammys including over 30 U.S. top ten hits.The Apollo is of special significance as he made his debut at the famous theater in 1962 at age 12.

Stevie Wonder Gives Charity To School


A giant novelty cheque to Red Hot Chili Pepper’s Flea for the Silverlake Conservatory of Music has been provided by Stevie Wonder.

In Los Angeles in 2001 the Flea started the Conservatory.

To hand over a giant novelty cheque to the tune of $10,000,Stevie Wonder appeared at the school this week.

Flea posted a snap of Stevie with the cheque at the school on his Twitter account today.

Flea has created a Crowdrise account for people to contribute to the school.
